The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering was first purchased in Alanya Engineering Faculty of Akdeniz University in 2014 under the name of “Materials Science and Engineering”. “Annex” Article 161 to the Law No. 2809, “The Law on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions and the Granting of Certain Laws and Provisions”, numbered 6640, which was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on March 31, 2015 and published in the Official Gazette on April 23, 2015. Antalya Alanya is connected to Alaaddin Keykubat University together with the district of Alanya. Continuation of student admission under the name of "Metallurgy and Materials Engineering" in 2015, completing all quotas of 31 and 41 students admitted under the same program in 2016 and 2017.

The purpose of our department; researcher, open to innovations, own, own owner, constantly learning and using it correctly, universal and everyone has the awareness of environmental protection with ethical values, can help science and technology in the global and international field, in the field of metallurgy, who can help science and technology, engineers and engineers.
